The $270 million Lincoln Bypass is an 11.7-mile, four-lane route to ease traffic along Highway 65 by diverting commuters and truckers around downtown Lincoln.

Funding for the $210 million “bottleneck” project will be used to add east and westbound diamond lands on I-80 from the Sacramento County line to the Highway 65 bypass.
