Roseville, Calif.- At 8:21 a.m. Friday, August 22, Roseville Police and Roseville Fire personnel responded to Rosemary Court, in the Highland Reserve neighborhood, for a pedestrian accident.

They found that 54-year-old Bernadette Ann Richardson had driven to the court and parked her 1997 Ford Explorer at the curb on the level street.  She had no passengers in the vehicle.  She got out, with the engine running, and was getting a bicycle out of the rear passenger compartment when for yet undetermined reasons the SUV rolled backwards, knocking her down and trapping her underneath.  She was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, and died there yesterday as a result of her injuries.

Roseville Police Department’s Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team is investigating this tragic accident.
