5 Arrested in Roseville Stabbing and Home Invasion Case

Roseville, Calif.- A Roseville Police investigation has identified several suspects involved in a recent home invasion robbery and a stabbing. 

Five suspects have been arrested so far, but we need the public’s help locating 21-year-old Alex Dorian Conwell.  A 2014 booking photo of Conwell is attached to this press release. He is a black male, 5’9″ tall and 155 pounds, with no known local address.  He’s lived in Indiana and in Pittsburg, CA, but has been active in our area recently.  Conwell is a suspect in both the robbery and the stabbing, and may be armed.  A warrant has been issued for Conwell’s arrest.  Anyone who sees Conwell is asked to call their local police department, or call Detective Nakamura at (916)774-5073 with any information about his current location. 

Early in the morning of January 8, a home in the Highland Reserve neighborhood was robbed.  The robbers broke in through a window and held one of the residents at gunpoint while robbing the house of a large number of firearms and other property.  The investigation revealed that this wasn’t a random crime, but that the suspects targeted the house to obtain the firearms.

While investigating the home invasion robbery, detectives found evidence connecting the suspected robbers to another recent crime.  On the evening of January 9, a local man went to a parking lot on Roseville Parkway near Galleria Boulevard, and got into a car with other men to sell them marijuana.  During the transaction, one of the drug buyers pointed a shotgun at the victim.  A struggle ensued, and the victim was stabbed several times.  The suspects pushed him out of the car and left.  The victim was treated at the hospital for multiple stab wounds.

Over the past three weeks, Roseville detectives have arrested five people in connection with the two incidents.  Davonte Lee Cyrus, age 23 of Rocklin, Austin Timothy Stephens, age 20 of Rocklin, and Jacob Matthew Kirchmeyer, age 27 of Roseville were arrested in connection with the home invasion robbery.

Justin Havey, age 21 of Rocklin and a 15-year-old male from Rocklin were arrested in connection with the drug sales-related stabbing on Galleria Boulevard.  Alex Conwell and the 15-year-old are suspected of participating in both the stabbing and  the home invasion robbery.
