Roseville, Calif.- At approximately 6 p.m. on Friday, June 29, the Roseville Police Department responded to a collision between a motorcycle and a sports utility vehicle on Eureka Road at Professional Drive in Roseville.
A 2004 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by a 24-year-old woman from Olivehurst, was traveling southbound on Eureka Road. The Pathfinder turned left onto Professional Drive, into the path of the northbound 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the SUV broadside.

The motorcyclist, Jason Thomas Powers, 27, of Rocklin was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Pathfinder did not report being injured.
The collision is being investigated by Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
