Renovations exceeding $24 million at MontBleu Resort that include the casino floor, convention center and all 437-rooms from the 17th floor and down will begin in mid-October.ย

The comprehensive plan includes all 36 suites and 401 rooms. The designers describe the overall looks as “Scandinavian fantasy” with clean, contemporary aesthetics that will combine beauty, functionality and efficiency. The rooms will feature all new furniture, headboards, nightstands, HD flat screen TVs, and fully remodeled bathrooms with new shower fixtures, counter tops, and vanities. Room remodels will be conducted one floor at a time with buffer floors above and below to assure comfort and quiet during the transformation and are expected to be completed by May.

The casino area and convention center will get a whole new look with carpet, lighting fixtures, and stylish dรฉcor appointments.

Additional renovation plans next spring will also include a new look to the MontBleu Theater Showroom and box office, Zone Bar, sports book, lighting, and exterior building upgrades. All operations will be in place during the modernization at the Tahoe South casino/hotel/resort with completion scheduled for late 2015.

“It’s all about our guests and providing a singular Lake Tahoe experience,” said Stephen Ditchkus, general manager. “We’ll be headquarters for combining luxurious hotel amenities with Tahoe’s world famous outdoor recreation and attractions.”

MontBleu Resort includes a 45,000-square-foot casino, 437-room hotel, 16,000-square-foot Onsen Spa, two nightclubs, three lounges, convention center, 1,334-seat showroom, with dining options at Ciera Steak + Chophouse (South Shore’s only Four-Diamond restaurant), Cafรฉ del Soul, The Buffet and MontBleu Cafรฉ.ย
