Sacramento Sheriff Sexual Assault Detectives have connected Wane to a similar attack on Watt Avenue / Peacekeeper Way which occurred on December 31, 2014, after a stranger (Wane) pulled a 42-year old female victim off of her bike and attempted to sexually assault her.

The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Ibrahima Wane, who was located and arrested in the San Diego area.  Wane transferred to the Sacramento County Main Jail today (February 5), where he is being held on eight felony crimes related to both incidents.  His bail is currently set for two million dollars. Wane’s next court appearance is scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2015.

Sheriff’s Detectives wish to take this opportunity to thank the public for their patience and assistance during various door-to-door contacts and communications throughout this ongoing and intensive investigation.
