10 Great Albums Worth a Listen

(in mostly no particular order)

10- The Chess Box Set – Willie Dixon
Blues at its finest. What better place to start than with an album where you realize where many rock n’roll classics were hijacked from.

9-  Little Broken Hearts – Norah Jones
Easily our favorite album from Norah Jones. Catchy tunes full of light and dark moments.

8-  Volcano – Edie Brickell
Forget what you know about Edie Brickell. Quality albums and incredible musicians have been her trademark since the 1980’s. This album crushes it.

7-  Everything All the Time – Band of Horses
A friend played a great song off this album for me, followed by another, and another…you get the picture.

6-  Fandango Nights – Willie & Lobo
Outside on a warm summer’s night, a neighbor threw this on the turntable and I became an instant fan of this flamenco style duo.

5-  Ozzmosis – Ozzy Osbourne
Great production, musicians and songs. Heavy with pop sensibilities throughout. Ozzy’s finest album to my ears.

4- The Final Cut – Pink Floyd
The incredible and underrated succcesor to The Wall and finale for Roger Waters at the helm.
Amazing album.

3- Fate of Nations – Robert Plant
Rock / Pop tunes and a family favorite that accompanies us on long road trips.

2- Cosmo’s Factory – Creedence Clearwater Revival
Not a dull moment on this 1970 gem. Songs holds up amazingly well.

1- Achtung Baby – U2
Wow! A cover to cover masterpiece and new direction that the band took as the 90’s commenced.
Many old school U2 fans shrugged it off. Among the greatest album of the past 30 years.
