Amador County’s Musical Treasure Spot

Jackson, Calif.- Smaller, more intimate concert venues become more appealing with each passing year. Nestled in the golden hills of California’s Amador County is one such musical oasis.

Jackson Rancheria, a little more than an hour’s drive south of Roseville is a fun escape for enthusiasts who enjoy their serving of music without the typical hassles commonly found at larger shows.

At capacity, Jackson Rancheria’s outdoor concert venue comfortably seats around 1,800. All seats offer an excellent view of the stage with superb sound quality.

The only things notably absent were long lines, nightmare parking and high-priced drinks. Beers and wine are offered at the almost unheard prices of $5 & $6 per glass, respectively. We grabbed a frosty Amador Brewing craft beer before settling into our seats.

On this evening, we enjoyed guitar legend Jeff Beck and his new band tear through new songs as well as some of his classics. Sound quality was excellent and stage views were great. Guitar hero Buddy Guy opened the show.

After the show, we slipped over to the casino for a bit to allow time for the minimal amount of traffic to dissipate before heading home. For those looking to avoid night travel, a remodeled Hotel and RV Park provide comfortable accommodations. (Best to reserve in advance)

For an enjoyable night out with live music and entertainment, Jackson Rancheria should be on your radar screen. Great value, beautiful environment within reasonable driving distance is all music to our ears!
