Switching to Virtual Festival
Petaluma, CA- Petaluma Music Festival switches to virtual festival due to Covid-19. The Petaluma Music Festival Board of Directors issued the following on their website.
” It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of the 13th Annual Petaluma Music Festival due to the impacts of COVID-19. The festival was scheduled for August 1st at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds. Our highest priority is the safety and well-being of our attendees, volunteers, sponsors, vendors and musicians, so it is ironic that during a time where we truly need to come together, we must stay apart in order to be safe.
If we can’t meet in person, let’s meet online!
We are diligently working on bringing you a virtual “Petaluma Music Festival” on Saturday, August 1st. The virtual festival will feature live-streamed performances by many of the headline artists which were a part of this year’s lineup (plus surprise guests), and performances showcasing the tremendous wealth of local music talent in Petaluma and the Bay Area. Although we cannot be physically together to celebrate all that makes the Petaluma Music Festival special, we hope you will continue to support keeping music in our schools by joining us online!
Please visit this website for updates and breaking news as we put together a fantastic lineup for the virtual festival on Saturday, August 1st.
We hope to see you soon!”
The Petaluma Music Festival is a non-profit festival and all proceeds benefit the music education programs in all Petaluma area public schools.
