To commemorate and celebrate the 50 year musical legacy of the Grateful Dead, an iconic American band and California favorite, we bring you “50 Days of The Dead”.
Members of the Grateful Dead kept busy with side projects when not touring with the Grateful Dead, allowing them to explore their broad musical tastes. Jerry Garcia was a prolific solo artist with a strong body of original songs and outstanding live covers that are regarded by many as better than the original. Shining Star, a song by R&B group The Manhattans was among audience favorites. This version of the JGB covering Shining Star in the fall of 1991.
