The record of 864\,838 votes was more than twice that of the runner-up. Gary began touring on his own and in 2002 formed a band ‘The Works’\, to pay tribute to rock legends Queen. Since May 2002\, ‘Gary Mullen and the Works’ have performed throughout the UK\, USA\, Europe\, South Africa and New Zealand to sell-out audiences. The outfit have also twice rocked the prestigious BBC Proms in the Park\, in front of a very enthusiastic crowd of 40\,000. DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nRoseville\, CA- Join Dry Creek Conservancy (DCC) and Valley Foothill Watersheds Collaborative (VFWC) as a volunteer to help restore Secret Ravine\, one of your favorite local creeks. \nOn Saturday March 7th from 9am – noon DCC/VFWC staff and other watershed stewards including students from Granite Bay High School will lead an invasive plant removal and trash removal project along a section of Secret Ravine located behind the United Artist Theater in Roseville. VFWC will be coordinating this event as part of the City of Roseville’s Adopt-A-Creek Program and it is part of a series of planned watershed restoration projects throughout the City annually during the months of Oct.\, Nov.\, Feb.\, Mar.\, and Apr. \nReserve your spot by RSVPing through Event Brite link below.   \nLocation: The volunteer check in and meeting location is behind the United Artist theaters at 520 N Sunrise Ave\, Roseville\, CA 95661. Go to the bottom of the sloping parking lot. Onsite volunteer registration will begin at 8:45. Safety talk beginnings shortly after 9 am. \nWhat to wear: Long pants\, t-shirt/camping shirt (long sleeve is preferable) you may want to layer\, hat and waterproof boots/waders or water shoes are helpful but not required. Wear closed toed shoes that you don’t mind getting wet and or muddy.  \nWhat to bring: Sunscreen\, sunglasses\, reusable water bottle\, and work gloves if you have them. \nParticipants age 14 and above are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Harm reduction principles have been identified as a best practice for working with commercially sexually exploited children and transitional age youth. This training will cover the following topics: overview of harm reduction\, overview of the Stages of Change model\, applying harm reduction principles to each stage in the Stages of Change\, and safety planning.  \nThe training will be co-facilitated by Nola Brantley who is a National Advocate\, Master Trainer and Survivor of the Commercial Sex Industry and Dr. Nicole Klasey who is a psychologist specializing in Trauma and the Commercial Sex Industry. Nola Brantley Speaks utilizes a survivor-clinician training model which provides audiences with an enhanced learning experience. Nola is a pioneer in California as she founded the first CSEC advocacy agency\, MISSEY\, in Oakland\, CA and founded Nola Brantley Speaks in 2014. She has been training providers across the nation on CSEC 101 since 2010\, training well over 100\,000 professionals in the filed\, community members and members of the faith based community. Nola’s personal experiences give her a powerful perspective which she shares in her trainings. Dr. Nicole Klasey\, Nola’s co-trainer and business partner\, has an extensive background working with foster youth in residential treatment. Nicole has been a key developer of several of the training curriculums that are being used throughout California and CSEC prevention curriculums.
