Tools for Inclusion Resource Fair

Annual Event Feb. 12 @ UC Davis MIND Institute
Sacramento, CA- New tools, gadgets and other assistive technology resources that can help people with different kinds of diabilities will be on display at this important community event. The event will include: a panel discussion with self-advocates on use of these technologies; resource tables with subject matter experts and agency representatives; demos and mini-workshops on a variety of devices and strategies.
To make sure everyone who comes to the fair can access what is being offered, the speakers will be live-captioned for the hearing impaired and for people with ADHD. American Sign Language interpreters will interpret for deaf participants. All event materials have been translated into Braille for blind/low vision participants. People with sensory regulation issues will be provided a sensory room, light-sensitivtiy glasses and noise reduction headphones.
