Olympic Valley, Calif. – This annual event transforms the Village at Palisades Tahoe into the largest Bavarian playground in North Lake Tahoe, complete with authentic German beer, Bavarian music and dance, plus the ever-popular Oktoberfest Games and plenty of family fun.

Enjoy live entertainment by Joe Smiell’s 20 Piece Bavarian Band, the Almenrausch Schuhplattler Dance Troop and Alpentanzer Schuhplattler Dance Troop, accompanied by the Alpentanz Kapelle Band throughout the day.

Authentic Brats, Pretzels, Swiss Slices and traditional European dessert/pastries plus RootBeer Floats for the kids will be available for purchase. Presented in partnership with the North Tahoe Community Alliance

• $20 – Oktoberfest Package: Includes entry donation to the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation, and a .5 liter commemorative festival stein. Beer tickets can be purchased onsite.
• $10 – Oktoberfest Entry Donation: Contribute $10 to support the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation. This option is ideal for individuals seeking event access without the complete Oktoberfest Package, including minors aged 13-20 who won’t be partaking in alcohol consumption. Or, NEW this year – those who are bringing their Legacy Oktoberfest stein; beer tickets can be purchased on-site.
• $50 – VIP Package: Skip the beer lines with VIP seating and VIP beer lounge. Includes everything in the Oktoberfest package plus VIP access.
• FREE – Kids 12 & Under

*Presale tickets end September 29 at 11:59PM. One (1) Festival stein is included with each Oktoberfest Package, steins are NOT included with Entry Only Ticket. Must have festival stein to drink beer at the event.

Event Details

• Beer tickets are $8 and available to purchase at the event only.
• Authentic German & Oktoberfest food can be purchased onsite, prices vary.
• All beer is poured into festival steins. Purchase the Oktoberfest package which includes a commemorative 2023 stein or NEW this year – bring in your Legacy stein from previous year’s Oktoberfest at Palisades Tahoe.
• All proceeds from beer sales benefit the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation.
• Festival goers must be 21 years or older with a valid ID to purchase beer.
• All food is available for purchase and not included in the beer or entry pricing.
• Oktoberfest Games are FREE to enter. First come, first to participate.

*Beer will only be poured into Oktoberfest 2023 & Legacy steins. Legacy steins are previous year steins from Oktoberfest at Palisades Tahoe.

Oktoberfest Games

Oktoberfest Games are FREE to enter. First come, first to participate. Games have been move to the Tram Circle this year!

Game Hours

• Stein Race: 1:00pm – teams of (2) complete to speed walk through an Oktoberfest obstacle course.
• Brat Toss: 2:30pm – Toss the bratwurst onto a keg, with each round adding difficulty, last person standing wins.
• Stein Holding Competition: 4:00pm – Competitors hold a full, 1-liter stein in one hand at shoulder height. Last competitor holding full steins wins.
