CONTESTS GALORE

We’re so excited for this year’s contests! Sign up for the caramel apple eating, pie eating, and apple juggling contests. Register in advance to bring in your own apple pie recipe and take home the gold at Saturday’s contest, judged by local culinary celebrities including Chefs Preeti Mistry, Liza Hinman, and Leah Scurto, Master Culinary Gardener Tucker Taylor, and James Beard Award-winning consultant and radio personality Clark Wolf. Don your glitziest garb for Sunday’s Golden Anniversary Costume Contest. And strut your stuff at the Rooster Crowing Contest and bring your garden misfits to the Ugly Produce Beauty Contest at the Ag Games!

FARM-TO-FAIR CUISINE

Truly farm-to-fair, the culinary options are diverse and delicious, from Cajun fusion to poke bowls, Michelin-starred BLTs to plant-based delights, and of course fair faves like ice cream and apple treats.

LOCAL LIBATIONS

Your thirst will be quenched with an extraordinary range of libations, from locally grown and made ciders to premium and natural wines, cult craft beers, and more.

LIFE ON THE FARM

The Fair is produced by Farm Trails, so, naturally, there is an entire venue dedicated to Life on the Farm! Head to the Farm Bureau Arena to watch demos on sheep shearing, goat milking, chicken keeping, fermentation, fiber arts, and more. Learn about beekeeping, apple preservation, and composting at the Harmony Farm Supply’s Exhibit Area. Meet llamas, sheep, pigs, goats, horses, and more at Richard & Saralee Kunde’s Farm Yard. Join in the fun with piglet racing and tractor pedal pull at the American Ag Credit Ag Games.

KIDS’ FUN

At the Exchange Bank Kids’ Area, children will enjoy free hands-on activities, from making flower crowns, seed balls, coloring, soap felting, sunprinting, to giant bubbles, stilt walkers, old engine displays, and more fun.

CURATED VENDORS

We have the highest standards for selecting our arts & crafts vendors so you can shop knowing you’re getting some of the best artisanal goods around! We also showcase specialty food and farm products vendors, many of whom are Farm Trails members. And visit our community vendors for educational materials and activities.

LEADER IN ZERO WASTE

Named “Best Festival” by the Bohemian, the Gravenstein Apple Fair is proud to be over 95% zero waste, and was awarded the first-ever Green Resolution for events by Zero Waste Sonoma! Help us to meet our greening goals by bringing your own refillable water bottle and mug/glass for libations, biking, and carpooling to the fair! The Fair will have lots of filtered water stations, attended bike parking, and free shuttle service.

BENEFITS LOCAL FARMS

All proceeds from the Gravenstein Apple Fair support Sonoma County Farm Trails, a nonprofit whose mission is to keep farms forever in Sonoma County.
